Service Terms
BrightSite LA · Last updated June 10, 2026
These are the plain-English terms for working with BrightSite LA ("we", "us"). By paying for a website or subscribing to a care plan, you agree to them.
1. The website project
- What you get: the website shown in your demo, finished and launched on your domain, with your corrections applied (hours, services, photos, and any facts you want changed).
- One-time fee: the amount on your payment link. No hourly billing, no surprise charges.
- Ownership: once the one-time fee is paid, the website — its design, content, and files — belongs to you. If you ever leave, we hand over everything.
- Your domain stays yours. If we register a domain for you, it is registered in your name or transferred to you on request.
2. The monthly care plan
- What it covers: hosting, security and software upkeep, and reasonable content changes (updating hours, prices, photos, adding a special — the everyday stuff). Larger additions, like whole new pages or features, are quoted separately before any work happens.
- Billing: monthly, in advance, via card. You'll get a receipt by email automatically.
- Cancel anytime with 30 days' notice — just email us. We'll keep your site live through the end of your paid period and give you a full copy of it. After hosting ends, the site comes down but remains yours to host anywhere.
3. What we promise — and the limits
- We build with care, test on real phones, and only publish facts you've confirmed.
- We can't guarantee specific business outcomes (rankings, call volume, revenue) — no honest web company can.
- If something we host breaks, we fix it at no charge. Our total liability for anything arising from our work is capped at the fees you've paid us in the prior 12 months.
4. Content and accuracy
- You're responsible for the accuracy of business information you provide and for having rights to materials you give us (photos, logos, text).
- We never invent credentials, reviews, or claims for your site — and we'll decline requests to publish misleading content.
5. Demos
Free demo websites are previews we build at our own expense. They carry no obligation, stay unlisted from search engines, and are removed automatically after a few weeks if you're not interested.
6. The boring-but-necessary part
These terms are governed by California law. If we ever have a disagreement, we'll try to solve it like adults first; failing that, venue is Los Angeles County. We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to active clients.
